In order to be able to learn how to eat with confidence and improve your body image, you need actual tools and strategies. Learning to trust yourself around food again requires you to get to the root of why you behave with food in the way that you do. This means exploring how dieting has harmed you in the past and how it continues to hurt you - mentally, emotionally, socially, and physically. To be able to do this, you need tools, strategies, and resources to heal your fears and insecurities around food and your body. The MACKSIMIZE Intuitive Eating Method provides you with just that.

The MACKSIMIZE Intuitive Eating Method acknowledges that bodies come in all shapes & sizes. All bodies are valuable, worthy of taking up space, and deserving of acceptance, care & respect. The MACKSIMIZE Intuitive Eating Method operates from a Health At Every Size (HAES®) lens and uses an evidence-based intuitive eating approach to health & nutrition. This means that this program will help you to improve your relationship with ALL foods & body through nutrition counseling & values-based care that upholds these principles. We work together to challenge weight stigma, reject diet culture messaging, and explore your body image story while honoring each individual’s lived experience. Through using this framework, you will learn how to enjoy ALL foods with confidence so you can stop feeling out of control, eat without guilt, and improve your body image.

Unconditional Support

When you join the MACKSIMIZE Intuitive Eating Method, you also join a small cohort of like-minded folks ready to ditch diet culture together and benefit from community. Having community support is crucial to healing and unlearning old diet culture thoughts and behaviors. When you’re on this journey, it can sometimes feel isolating, especially if others around you aren’t supportive or on the same journey as you. However, the MACKSIMIZE Intuitive Eating Method provides you with unconditional support. This is a community where all bodies from all walks of life can show up judgment-free and know that you are loved, accepted, and wanted here.

Trauma-informed care is defined as practices that promote a culture of safety, empowerment, and healing. The MACKSIMIZE Intuitive Eating Method promotes a safe space where individuals can be vulnerable and know that their voice is heard. We know that how you experience food and your body may be directly correlated with previous trauma. Being trauma-informed means that we are understanding and responsive to the impact of trauma and emphasize the physical, psychological, and emotional safety for all clients. By doing so, we hope to create opportunities for clients to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.
